As a designer, I am driven by learning and exploration. I excel in my ability to take on challenging tasks such as learning new software on an expert level. Through iteration and testing, I can move succinctly from obscure data to physical and digital conceptualising, finally arriving at realised products.
In this project, I explore the emotional connection to products through colour; I examine the over-occurrence of over-purchase due to rapid trend change. By reviewing this, I am able to focus on visualising rapid trend turnover by synthesising data received from trend forecasts.
'X.Y.Z.' is a commentary on the over-purchasing that occurs in the footwear industry. It shows that various parts of a shoe can be created to work alone but should also be able to work together. The shoes are printed from a single material and so can be used to create another style.
