My work reflects on the society we live in, the struggles we endure and the beauty we enjoy. Art enhances all those things and its artists calling to inspire, provoke and challenge people to see as we are now in all our beauty and ugliness; to give voice to those who are often unheard.
Through the use of rough materials, and detailed and 'life-like' rendering of forms, I seek to show the heaviness of a story embedded in my works. This is achieved through a strict “as you see” method, which is a traditional way of crafting sculptures.
