According to a report done by The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, by the age of thirteen, one in three young people are likely to have experienced a mental health disorder. By 24, that number rises to one in two people.
Early intervention is key to supporting a person in taking action to prevent the problem from worsening. However, the main barrier to young people looking for initial help is that they don’t have the knowledge, or space for suitable conversations to happen.
