Barriers restrict, confine and separate. They create limits. In this time of political and social tension, borders and barriers are omnipresent. This work challenges both the tangible and non tangible, the physical and cognitive barriers and obstacles that confine us. My practice questions the divisions that are created and are continuously perpetuated between one and other, leading to the fragmented nature of our world experience. With a strong interest in form, construction and material, I build soft-edged minimalist structures — the energy required to make the work being an integral part of the process.
